Our next outing is a “car-camping” trip and the theme is orienteering and pioneering.  Here are the details:

• Meet at TUMC 8AM Saturday 16 Nov
• Bring a sack lunch
• We will travel to Flaming Geyser State Park and there we will conduct orienteering activites using map & compass
• Then we’ll take the very short trip to Kanaskat-Palmer State Park where we will camp overnight
• At Kanaskat-Palmer we will practice our pioneering skills – lashing and knot tying
• Patrol cooking for Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast & lunch
• Javier Ortiz is the adult leader of this trip
