This small but well-maintained cemetery has 526 graves, mainly of Union and Confederate veterans and their wives. It is across the street from Lakeview Cemetery.

Please join us for one, two, or all three events:
Saturday, May 28: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Plant flags and service project

Class B’s preferable, casual okay. Please bring light gardening equipment (grass clippers, edgers, dandelion removers, trowels and daffodil planters). We will be making some headstones more visible.

Monday, May 30: 9:00 – 9:45 am

Flag raising

All Scouts who have not gone away for the weekend should attend, Class A’s.

Looking for one Scout to read Gettysburg Address (practiced, but not necessarily from memory). Would also like a musically inclined Scout to play Taps (well) – any instrument.

Monday, May 30: 5:00 – 6:00 pm

Flag lowering and remove flags from headstones

Minimum of 6 scouts. Scouts who do flag lowering should wear Class A’s.

Questions or RSVP, please contact Ethan Rogers at esrandmkr@aol.com. To volunteer for either flag ceremony, reading of the Gettysburg Address, or to do the second presentation, contact Senior Patrol Leader Alex H. or use sign-up genius link below.
