New Scout Hike – August 18-21

What is it?

The New Scout Trip allows new Scouts to learn the ways of the Patrol Method: how to cook, how to camp, how to conduct a flag ceremony and other Scout worthy endeavors. Perhaps, most importantly the Scouts begin to bond with one another. An added bonus – Scouts get to know our Scoutmaster a little better. Scouts always have a grand time on this trip!

Who is Eligible to Attend?

Any scouts that have joined the troop since September, 2015 are welcome. The bus won’t be able to make it to the trailheads due to rough roads, so we’ll need parents to come along to drive.

When is it?

This year’s New Scout hike will take place in the North Cascades August 18 – 21.

Where Exactly?

Come spend the long weekend hiking Sauk Mountain, Cascade Pass, and  Baker Lake.
