\nThis event benefits more than 2,000 youth served by the Chief Seattle Council, Boy Scouts of America in Ballard, Queen Anne, Magnolia, Fremont, Shoreline, University District, Lake City, and the Northgate neighborhoods.  Our goal is to raise $15,000.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/u>·       When:  <\/b>Wednesday, February 12, 2013<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/u>·        <\/u>Where:  <\/b>Woodland Park Zoo – Rain Forest Pavilion, <\/b>5500 Phinney Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103.  Free zoo parking will be available.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/u>·        <\/u>Time<\/b>:  Check-in at 6:50 a.m. Breakfast and Program at 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/u>·        <\/u>Cost<\/b>:  The cost of the breakfast is $20.  That covers the actual breakfast expense.  We are hoping that our attendees will donate $150 at the breakfast that will go directly to help kids through the Friends of Scouting<\/a>.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n

\nProgram<\/b>:  Our program will feature a short film about the work of the Order of the Arrow<\/a> and a keynote address by Chuck Horne of Theo Chocolate.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n

\n<\/u>Charles \"Chuck\" Horne<\/u>Chuck Horne will share some stories and learning from his experience helping one of Puget Sound’s exciting and innovative companies:Theo Chocolate<\/a>.  A former executive for Fortune 500 companies, Chuck first helped Theo as a part-time consultant, later became an investor and, ultimately, Chief Financial Officer.  At every step, the goal has been to support Theo’s steady growth, build processes, and always remain true to the company’s mission.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nTheo Chocolate is the first organic, fair-trade, “Bean to Bar” chocolate maker in the U.S.  Sustainability and social responsibility are core to Theo’s mission.  Indeed, the company’s business is to make the world a better place by creating and selling a wonderful product: premium chocolate.  From a small start selling directly from its Seattle factory, Theo Chocolate is now a fast growing, premium national brand available in 2,000+ stores across the U.S.  Theo products have been recognized at competitions in London, Los Angeles, and New York.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n

\nChuck’s enjoyed an interesting career that’s taken him from California to New York, Hong Kong, Texas, and, more than ten years ago, Puget Sound.  He’s worked in operational and corporate financial, audit, and accounting roles with companies such as Dell, Silicon Graphics, and Raychem.  He came to Seattle as part of the executive team that successfully led the turnaround at Safeco Corporation and, since then, Chuck has been an angel investor and advisor to small companies.  He earned his B.A. from the UC-Davis, followed by an M.B.A. from NYU.  A recovering C.P.A., Chuck began his career with a predecessor firm to PricewaterhouseCoopers.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
