Planned activities occur on Saturday. We conduct our&nbsp;annual auction to raise funds. Scouts get to select from some great items earned through our <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=scout-bucks\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Scout Bucks are earned for participating in various activities and achievements. At the end of the year, the points are added up. At the Family Camp and Court of Honor in June, Scouts get to choose items from a table&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Scout Bucks<\/a> program. We&rsquo;ll have our June <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=court-of-honor\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Three times a year (October, March, June) there is a special meeting in which rank advancements and merit badges are awarded. The October and March Courts occur at the regular Troop meeting time and usually feature a potluck dinner or&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Court of Honor<\/a> on Saturday evening, and plenty of time to just hang out and enjoy each other&rsquo;s company.<\/p>\n<h3>Location<\/h3>\n<p>Camp Casey Campground (run by Seattle Pacific University) on Whidbey Island. (Please note, this is not Fort Casey State Park.) If coming up on Saturday, take an early ferry &ndash; they get backed up for the day very early on.<\/p>\n<h3>Camping<\/h3>\n<p>This is car camping at its best. The&nbsp;campground has flush toilets and showers, and you drive right up to your groomed camp site. Troop 100 has gear to loan out.<\/p>\n<h3>Food<\/h3>\n<p>The Troop will provide dinner on Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning. And we can certainly use help &ndash; so plan on pitching in with meal prep and clean-up.&nbsp;You will need to plan for your own food for all other meals.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"null\">Scout Bucks<a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/scout_bucks.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-2097\" src=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/scout_bucks-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"scout_bucks\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Scout Bucks are earned for participating in various activities and achievements. At the end of the year, the points are added up. It is at Family Camp when Scouts get to choose items from a table in order of descending &ldquo;bucks&rdquo;. There is always plenty of great gear&mdash;tents, back-packs, stoves, camp chairs, etc. More <a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wiki\/scout-bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wiki\/scout-bucks\/\">information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"null\">Parent Auction<\/h3>\n<p>We would appreciate if each scout family would provide an item for the <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=parent\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Parent implies Parent or Guardian of the Scout\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Parent<\/a> Auction. Some past auction items have been a Steak Dinner hosted by Sean Harvey, Puget Sound Salmon and Crab Fishing <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=charter\" target=\"_self\" title=\"The Boy Scouts of America was granted a federal charter in 1916 to provide a program of character development, citizenship training, and mental and physical fitness for all boys. The BSA issues charters annually to approved community organizations to operate&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Charter<\/a> hosted by the Trainer Family, Smoked Salmon by Ken Dunkelberg, handcrafted items like knitted hats and jewelry, homemade jams and pies, select wines, and gift baskets.<\/p>\n<p>If you&rsquo;re donation is&nbsp;a&nbsp;gift certificate sort of item, we ask you to please write up a certificate letter with all the specifics, including contact information, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Let <a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/profile-page\/?pdb=253\" target=\"_blank\">Joanne Hughes<\/a> know what you&rsquo;d like to donate. If you can not attend Family Camp, she is also will to transport your item for you up to Family Camp. Please contact her to make arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>And remember, bring your checkbook! There are always lots of great things donated you will be sure to bid on. And if you win, you can settle your account right away.<\/p>\n<h3>Court of Honor<\/h3>\n<p>We will have our June <a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wiki\/court-of-honor\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wiki\/court-of-honor\/\">Court of Honor<\/a> on Saturday night. <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=rank-advancement\" target=\"_self\" title=\"There are seven ranks that a Scout can earn, each contributing to essential knowledge or attitudes of Scouting. The ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class require an understanding of the ideals of Scouting as well as beginning&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Rank advancement<\/a>s and <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=merit-badge\" target=\"_self\" title=\"There are 21 badges that are required for Eagle rank, and more than 100 others that can be earned. Something for everyone! For each badge, there is a merit badge book with much of the information necessary to complete the&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">merit badge<\/a>s will be awarded and the new <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=spl\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) &nbsp; &nbsp;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">SPL<\/a> announced.&nbsp;All scouts need to wear <a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wiki\/class-a\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/wiki\/class-a\/\">Class A<\/a> uniforms. Before beginning work on a badge, the Scout gets a blue card signed by the Scoutmaster or the Advancement Chair. At the final meeting with a merit badge counselor, the blue card&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">blue card<\/a>s to turn in or need to schedule a <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=board-of-review\" target=\"_self\" title=\"When a Scout has completed all of the requirements for advancing to the next rank and has had a Scoutmaster conference, a Board of Review is scheduled. At least three adult leaders meet with the Scout.
