About one hundred thousand get rich quick miners headed for the Yukon Territory and Alaska, about 4,000 actually found gold&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Chilkoot<\/a> Trail trip are encouraged to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Here&rsquo;s the schedule:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday 4\/17&nbsp;&ndash; Little Si (4.7mi, 1,300&prime; elev gain)<\/li>\n<li>Saturday 5\/7&nbsp;&ndash; Rattlesnake Ridge (4mi, 1200&prime; elev gain)<\/li>\n<li>Sat\/Sun 5\/14&nbsp;&ndash; 5\/15 &ndash; TBD &ndash; Want to possibly combine with a Crew trip<\/li>\n<li>Sunday 6\/5&nbsp;&ndash; Mt Si (8mi, 3,000&prime; elev gain)<\/li>\n<li>Saturday 6\/18&nbsp;&ndash; Mt Pilchuck Lookout (5.4mi, 2,500&prime; elev gain)<\/li>\n<li>Sat\/Sun 7\/16&nbsp;&ndash; 7\/17 &ndash; Snow Lake overnight (7.2mi, 4,400&prime; elev gain) or Summerland Trail overnight (12mi, 2,950 elev gain)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will start with some easier hikes to help get everyone confident with hiking. For an added challenge: carry a backpack with 1 &ndash; 2 gallons of water or more for added strength building.<\/p>\n<p>Look for details about each hike in upcoming issues of this newsletter.<\/p>\n<p>Questions? Meet at the <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=tumc\" target=\"_self\" title=\"The abbreviation for Trinity United Methodist Church where most of Troop 100's meetings are held. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">TUMC<\/a> parking lot at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_633197858\"><span class=\"aQJ\">7:00 am<\/span><\/span> sharp. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and your <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=ten-essentials\" target=\"_self\" title=\"These are the items that are necessary for survival that each Scout is required to have with them on all hikes or camping trips. Note this a strenuous hike for most people. Please use your good judgement and&nbsp;bring your Discover Pass if you plan to drive. We&rsquo;ll grab a frozen treat after the hike to cool our heels. Originally built in 1921 on top of a granite spire, this lookout is not to be missed. Stay tuned for more information on meeting times and sign ups. If you would like to continue your adventure with Crew, stay the night instead of hiking down the slope. Countless stars and a breathtaking sunrise await.
