There are usually several patrols in one troop.\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Patrol<\/a> has expressed an&nbsp;interest to hike the <a href=\"https:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/?encyclopedia=chilkoot\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Chilkoot Trail in Alaska In 1897 the &ldquo;ship full of gold&rdquo; landed in Seattle and started the Klondike Gold Rush. About one hundred thousand get rich quick miners headed for the Yukon Territory and Alaska, about 4,000 actually found gold&hellip;\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Chilkoot<\/a> Trail in Alaska. This is a major undertaking so we need to gauge interest.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>If you or your son is interested in hiking the Chilkoot Trail in Alaska in summer&nbsp;2016&nbsp;for two weeks (tentative dates are July 25 to August 5, 2016)&nbsp;please indicate to <a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/directory\/name\/bill-dunnell\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/directory\/name\/bill-dunnell\/\">Bill Dunnell<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/directory\/name\/ken-dunkelberg\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/troop100seattle.com\/directory\/name\/ken-dunkelberg\/\">Ken Dunkelberg<\/a> that you would like to go.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The hike is 33 miles in length and is very historic. It is not for the faint of heart nor the weak in constitution.&nbsp;An email was sent out with a lot of information. You can <a href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/bDReOL\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/eepurl.com\/bDReOL\">read it here<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There will be a <strong>meeting of all interested people on&nbsp;November 19th<\/strong> at&nbsp;the regular scout meeting to officially gauge interest and decide if the trip is a go.
